I'm getting the single beep (& interoir lights on temporarily) after setting the alarm on my car. The lights flash twice as expected, but then get the beep after a couple of seconds - the interior sensor flashes twice whilst the system is on. I know from the manual that these means that something isn't closed, but I've checked everything and I can't tell what is 'not closed'. Is there a way to find out? Also it mentions that the alarm also protects the radio - is there a sensor wire for this? (I just had a new system added and I know they've done something or missed something). Thanks

Most common problem is either the center storage lid (try reclosing it and locking it to see), and/or the rear deck lid over the engine. Check those and try again.

Problem solved - it was the radio alarm sensor being left 'open' circuit. Unfortunately the car randomly reacted to this fault by going off - normally in the middle of the night, much to the enjoyment of my neighbours. So, if you have this problem, this is the fix.

I had the exact same problem and I checked for the wire and could not find it. I did remove the deck and was able to isolate the problem. The antenna was coming in contact with the chassis. Once I wrapped it, it was fine. Also I found that the 1997 Volkswagen radio harness kit worked fine with only one wire to swap.
