Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Are those leather floor mats really worth $395?

POST 2Original post

Not to me. I spent $50 on all weather mats from weathertech and use on top of factory carpet mats. Looks good and keeps the car clean. A must for Seattle area.

POST 3Original post

Why, in heaven's name, would you pay that much money for something that's going to get stepped on, muddied, abused? You would not step on your leather couch with your dirty shoes, would you? Just my .02 worth.

POST 4Original post

After spending all that $$$, the least they could do is give you a set of floor mats.

POST 5Original post

Floor mats = extra weight - just like the cupholders, gotta keep those purists happy

POST 6Original post

I'm a Seattle person as well and have the weather tech mats in both my other cars but haven't wanted to put them in the 996. I've been thinking about the new coco mats with the rubber backing. Anyone tried those? They can be found at http://www.cocomat.com. Thanks! Jim

POST 7Original post

Those COCO mats look like a 70's tweed blazer! I'd take black rubber over those anyday

POST 8Original post

Performance Products sells a clear plastic mat for about $20 that works really well and allows the color of the factory mat show through. The mat really stays in place thanks to little grips on the bottom

POST 9Original post

There is no way i would pay 400 bucks for floormats! No matter what material.

POST 10Original post

I have 13,000 miles on my car and the driver's floor mat has a hole in it where my heel rests!!! I am looking for a mat with tougher fabric where the heel rests. Anyone have any company in mind?
