Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Hearing the horror story's from the dealer who told me that he's replaced clutches after 500-1500 miles made me think if it was normal.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just replaced my clutch about 750 miles ago. When I first picked it up after the clutch was put in, each gear would actuate all the way at the floor as soon as you lifted the clutch pedal up. It was really tight and the technician told be that it's a self adjusting cluch. Well, each gear now actuates about 2 inches from the floor. After 750 miles, sould I be worried or is this normal?
Mine activates just off the carpet. Two inches sounds about right. Have to push all the way to carpet to release completely. Has been that way since I took delivery. Makes it easy to gauge when the clutch will engage, as well as quick to make it engage when I want it quick.
Thanks for the comments. The clutch was really tight when they put it in. It would actuate at the carpet and come out of gear immedately almost to the point where it would jerk. It's now very normal feeling and smooth.... again, just paranoid.....
Having similar issues re:clutch Porscherenter, I was VERY paranoid when I first drove out with new clutch. What you describe sounds normal. Whether it's me or clutch design, I'm resigned to replacing the clutch every 40K, although at a good independent next time to save about $600 in labor cost. BTW - loved the link to your business site. We've got a similar business about three blocks from where I work here in Newport Beach, CA. Gorgeous cars all over the lot. Don't even want to ever stop and ask what they get in SoCal for a one day rental.
Ok, here's another one - last time I was talking with service writer, he told me about a guy who toasted his clutch at 8K. Found out the guy had a large hill at his house and obviously wasn't very good at hills! Maybe holding the car against the hill with the clutch - what a no no.
