Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My 99 has experienced countless check engine lights. Always traces back to an emissions related something or other. The oxygen sensors are to blame in my case. There are a few Porsche recalls on the 99 models as well, so be sure to check for those. Other than that it is a GREAT daily performer! Good Luck!

Here is a list of TSBs for the MY99 Cabs: 1999 Carrera Cabriolet TSBs It looks like a lot but not all are problems, some are option installs. There are a few problems on 99's that need to be fixed. Your local dealer should do a lookup on the Porsche database for your VIN and tell which ones have already been performed.
