Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Folks... I am on the horns of a dilemma... I reckon the 993TT is the ultimate 911 (sorry to all you 996 folks) but I am swayed by the GT3's modernity, user friendliness (with Comfort spec) and value. A LHD GT3 is the same price here in the Uk as a good RHD 993TT... Any thoughts? All feedback greatly appreciated... W

POST 2Original post

Is there really enough difference between the C4S and the GT3 to justify the additional cost? Or is the C4S not available in the UK?

POST 3Original post

I have both a GT3 and 993 TT. The GT3 is normal but with renn seats and roll bar and the 993 tt is with sport seats and I can tell You that the 993 tt is much comfortable in town driving than GT3 but whan You drove fast nothin can compare to GT3

POST 4Original post

Depends what you want. I, personally, would go for the GT3...

POST 5Original post

hi i too am in the UK adn faced with a similar decission. Currently have 996c2 but spend a lot of time tracking it so want somenthing quicker/more suitable. 993TT is a classic most of which its dpreciation has gone. The GT3 is also a classic but what if a new revised GT3 is launched with updated headlights updated engine etc. What then of values of current GT3 ? I say this because I am taking a pounding on my 996. In fact things are so bad I have probalbly lost another 1000 while writing this reply. Having said this I always like to have the latest greatest so it would have to be a GT3 !! Let me know what you end up with

POST 6Original post

CMJ, I do not think that there will be a "new" GT3, anymore than there were "new" 993RSs. I was told as much in Stuttgart last week.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the opinions... I went with the TT as that was what my gut really wanted... upgraded at factory to 430Bhp and all original parts... 23,000 miles. It is the culmination of a dream... delivery is on Monday a week away and I cannot wait. RS I reckon I am even more excited than you were before the new 'yella' came back from the paintshop! Thanks again. <img src="graemlins/jumper.gif" border="0" alt="[jumper]" />

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Black (metallic) looks quite like BMW's Anthractite Grey but I don't know what the proper Porsche name is. I am now pulling my bank manager's hair out trying to complete payment by Friday so that it can be delivered before my birthday on Saturday!! One hell of a present to myself

POST 10Original post

What are the general engine specs on the GT3?

POST 11Original post

3.6 water-cooled flat-6 (normally aspirated version of the 911 GT1 powerplant) with 360HP at 7200 RPM intially, later increased to 370HP. Curb weight of 3570lbs. Carlos from Spain.

That was the GT3 Cup car.

POST 14Original post

Sorry about the weight, I use Kg so 3570lbs didnt sound wrong to me when I miscalculated the conversion. 1435 kg is the real weight (unladen 1350kg) 360 HP for the street GT3 370 HP increased for the GT3 Cup and 420 HP increased for the GT3 RS (at 8200RPM) Carlos from Spain.
