Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was just sitting in my car today, and I realized how cheap looking the fake leather vinyl sunshades were. Why, for heavens' sake, would they put leather all over the place for the full leather package, but leave that vinyl sunshade? Alcantara would have been nice. Anybody replaced them? If so, with what?

POST 2Original post

I agree that the stock vinyl sun visors are cheap looking. I priced leather ones from Suncoast Porsche which usually has competitive prices and even they wanted something in the neighborhood of $250 EACH for them. After that, I decided I could live with the vinyl. Mike

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

$250 EACH? Unless I start upchucking, I guess those sun shades are not that bad looking after all.

POST 4Original post

Thats one of those elusive options that dosent show up on the order deck, but is available. I had both of my sun shades replaced under warranty because the mirror doors would not stay opened fully. Hint, hint.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

LOL. Thanks, John. You're right, it must be elusive. Come to think of it, the mirror doors appear warped. On both sides.

POST 6Original post

So they can charge additional $550 for leather visors, $300 for leather dome light surround, $300 for leather steering column, $1250 for leather steering wheel air bag cover, $400 for leather sills, $1200 leather A/B pillars/roof etc. You were expecting Porsche to include all that with your measly $4900 " Full Leather Package" that also REQUIRES the $3300 " Full Leather Interior " seating option ? Next thing you know , they will be throwing in the $10 worth of parts for footwell lighting instead of charging $750 for it.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They do charge quite a bit, don't they? This did get me checking on the option package. Also checked the sticker on my car. Full Leather is listed as NC for the C4S. Wonder what that means. I always thought it meant the "Full Leather Option Package". Full leather option package INCLUDES leather sunvisors. Full leather seats do not. On the other hand, full leather option package also includes leather dashboard, among other things, found on the C4S. Hmmmmmm. Called the dealership, and my favorite salesman is not there today. Hey, C4S owners. What kind of sunvisors do you have?
