Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello to all. Does anyony have a complete list of fluid requirements for servicing the vehicle. There seems to be a lot of opinions on what to use on what. The transmission ATF type?, and rear oil ?....... The engine oil 0-40 , 10-40 , 15-50? Brake fluid, anti freeze and so on. I want the manual but egads. I cant even afford the car and have always had to do the maintenance myself on everything we have ever had. So, and suggestions and advice on how to do these things will be greatly appreciated. <img src="graemlins/wave.gif" border="0" alt="[byebye]" />

POST 2Original post

All of this information is in your owners manual. Did you look in the trunk(s) for it? Also, you might get more responses on the Boxster forum (this is the 996 forum and Boxsters are 986s). Some kind Boxster owner may be willing to copy the fluids page for you Loren (99 996)

POST 3Original post

I would suggest having the services(which are either annual or at every 15,000 miles) done at the dealer because of warranty issues, etc. I would hate to hear a warranty claim denied because of lack of proof that the car was servived.
