Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
As I said, I don't have any specific reasons why there would be a problem especially since you can change the computers between standard and metric measurements.
Leading evidence: 'Replace computers between standard and metric measurements' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace computers between standard and metric measurements' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Buyer beware on Canadian cars - you may have trouble with re-sale. I have talked to several dealers around Seattle who have specifically mention that they have had a "problem" with foreign cars and that they don't value them the same way.
Sorry I can't be more specific, but it is something to be aware of.

"Foreign" cars are most likely those of ROW type. Canadian cars are substantially the same as US cars. As such, they are often collectively referred to as North American cars.

I specifically recall cars from Canada being the subject of the conversation, though I can see your point. As I said, I don't have any specific reasons why there would be a problem especially since you can change the computers between standard and metric measurements.
I live in Whistler Canada and drive a '99 996C2 and have an 02 C4S on order (June build). Using a current exchange rate of 1.58, the price for the C4S in Canada in US dollars including all taxes and levies is US$91,139. That includes heated seats, floor mats, advance technic package, dimming mirrors/rain sensor. Apparently if someone was to buy a new car in Canada for export to the US there would be a surcharge which would bring the price up to the US price. The reason for the price differential is that the Canadian dollar is a little weaker against the DM than the US$. The car is identical to the US model as far as I know as the speedometer/trip computer is switchable between imperial/metric.
I have my '99 996C2 for sale for CAN$85,000.00 which equates to about US$53,000.00. It has done 45000km (27,000 miles) It is in showroom condition. FYI I got a price form a broker in Vancouver and he told me there was a chance the car would go down to the United States.
The Porsche dealer in Vancouver charges the MSRP, no more, no less on the C4S as they are in short supply, only about 60 total will come to Canada this year!
