Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Set got away' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Set got away' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

hi i am trying to upgrade to HRE 19 inch wheels but need to know if these will fit my narrow body..... front wheels are 8.5JX19, offset 51mm and the rears are 11JX19, offset 45mm......
Fronts will fit, technically you could even push them out another 10mm
rears are toooo wide for a stock narrow body. Honestly they are a little wide for a widebody but still OK. again i have no clue what your fenders actually look like due to the conversion, so I can't be of much help, but you're looking at about 63mm offset being the max for a stock stock narrow body 996 for an 11 inch rear. 45 is 18mm, or 2/3 of an inch over.
I don't know much about rolling fenders on these cars, but you can ask a local shop. Depending on how much material you have to work with at the hub, a combination of rolling fenders and grinding the wheel hub might get you to an acceptable appearance, but it's risky, and I personally would not recommend it. If you can get those wheels in a narrow body offset you should.
Front wheels will fit, but rear wheels will not. They wil stick out 33mm more than a stock 10" wheel with 65mm offset. The wheel itself will be beyond the fender well and look something like this.
If they fit you need to be cautious of weakening your suspension. 19s are strictly too much for the 996 suspension,--their stiffness will impact the suspension.
Red,
You are correct. I recall that he asked a similar question about fitting W/B wheels on his car, so I photo shopped his car to show him how the wheels would look. BTW - he didn't buy the wheels either!
Damn, I need to start charging a 10% "savers" fee! I help save them from spending money on things that won't fit on their cars. Hell, if I had gotten to Ed a year ago, with the 10% "savers" fee I 1) wouldn't have to look for a job, 2) could have paid off my NC house and the Dallas house, and 3) would be driving an '08 997!
I am learning - very slowly
Man you guys are on my *** tonight! Be careful, I am liable to start crying or something
Hahahaha
Did I tell you I sold the GT2 wing ! Woohooo!
my 19" HREs (widebody 993) vibrate in heavy rain. this is a common and known problem with HREs. if this is a daily driver and it rains where you live you may want to reconsider or at least enquire about this.
