Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My advice is to get the car flat bedded to a proper body/chassis repair shop that is approved to work on these cars and have the car checked for straightness.
Leading evidence: 'Check straightness' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'lot more damage than this crack' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check straightness' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

The techs who inspected the car said whenever castings crack from the force of an impact/hit the body/chassis/tub is bent.

We've had good luck sourcing used ones for the Boxster from Oklahoma Foreign.

Suspected cause
There is probably a lot more damage than this crack.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Suggestion
This is very important as if they are out of position and left this way the car will not have a proper alignment and it is not allowed to use alignment adjustment to "straighten" a bent car.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys,
Unfortunate turn of events, just got my top fixed and now on the way home hit an oil slick and cracked part of the suspensions. It's the part the control arm connects to...tell me its not the frame! Anyone have a link to where I can get it?
Heres a picture:
Looks like the RH Side Section. I would expect it to only be available at a Porsche dealer. There will be a lot of labor involved and an alignment required as this is the attachment point for the toe link. Do not drive the car.
The subrame is cracked but what else is bent?
What did you hit, how fast were you going and at what angle? There is probably a lot more damage than this crack.
Of course you can get the part from your local Porsche dealer parts counter.

You want to be sure you get the exact replacement.
But I have to point out it took some force to crack that part and I suspect there some "tub" or "chassis" damage.
My advice is to get the car flat bedded to a proper body/chassis repair shop that is approved to work on these cars and have the car checked for straightness. The running gear (wheels/tires and given the part broken possibly some of the suspension hardware in that area as well -- the shop will know what it needs to remove to do a proper job) will be removed and the car placed on a Celette Bench and the very critical hard point locations in the area of where that broken part resides will be checked for their correct position and brought into position if they are found out of position.
This is very important as if they are out of position and left this way the car will not have a proper alignment and it is not allowed to use alignment adjustment to "straighten" a bent car.
OK Foreign is a good source, & plenty of used parts all over the country for around $200. Just get 1, make sure you get the right side, & take your car to the best Porsche suspension/alignment shop around you to have them install it & any other damaged or worn parts before doing a alignment.
Thank you all for your replies. This is indeed the rear right subframe, I checked what I could and it doesnt seem that there are any other bends - will get it flatbedded to a Porsche shop on Monday though. Thanks for all your replies
When my Cayman S was hit some cast parts were broken. The techs who inspected the car said whenever castings crack from the force of an impact/hit the body/chassis/tub is bent. It takes a lot of force to break those items and this force bends/shoves out of position sheet metal. Often this can be pulled straight by a shop that knows what it is doing and is permitted to do what it knows.
Could you give more detail about how this happened so we may learn from it? I dont see how any type of skid would break that. Do you mean you slid causing a rear wheel to strike a curb or other fixed object?
