Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm running MPS2, 225 on the front, on the rear I went from 285 to 295 (285 is not available any more).

That is what I run on my Techart Formula GT wheels.

Suggestion
I had the fenders rolled to allow me to run a slightly wider size setup (rears are 295, front are 245, IIRC_ I can check later, if you want).

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello all,
Just picked up an 03 cab after the PPI report came back positive.
Searched and didn't find much regarding the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. The car needs new rear tires and I am considering the following sizes: 275/35-18 or 285/35-18. Neither tire is ideal since the PZeros on there now are 285/30-18. Any reason to select one of the other? Both are obviously larger diameter. Will be running a 235/40-18 up front.

Welcome and please post pics.
Mine has those front and back. The fronts are P225 40 18" and the rears are P295 30 18". Thats the stock sizes. Not sure where you came up with thoses sizes you want. The Mich's are Porsche approved for what its worth.
They handle and drive awesome but they are noisy on some highways. Im not sure if I would replace them with the same or go with Falken, Yoko's or some other. I dont think the Porsche approved really matters.
Thanks for the reply KrazyK.
I listed those sizes because those are the only "close" sizes to stock-which is 285/30-18 in the rear. Are you sure you are running Pilot Super Sports because Tirerack doesn't list a 295/30-18 Michelin Pilot Super Sport.

I put MPSS on my car last year and I love 'em. I had the fenders rolled to allow me to run a slightly wider size setup (rears are 295, front are 245, IIRC_ I can check later, if you want). Are you going to track your car? The most important concern, track or no track, is the diameters need to be within the proper ratio so it doesn't mess up the electronic nannies. If you are tracking then the suggestion might be the widest you can get, without rubbing or screwing with your ABS.
I thought 285/30-18 was the stock rear size on 10" wheels for a narrow-body and 225-40/18 was the stock front on an 8" (or 7.5"). Not sure if wide-body's (the C4S guys) are any different. Using a P-Zero the tire certainly sticks out far beyond the rim. Not sure about other brands. (Yet).
I'm running MPS2, 225 on the front, on the rear I went from 285 to 295 (285 is not available any more). both sizes protrude from the rim, the 295 doesn't look quite right though. Due to the increased size difference F-R, on the track the front is overwhelmed by the rear, its lost the feeling of balance.

KrazyK,
Your tires are the correct sizes for the widebody cars (C4S and turbo), not the narrow body cars (C2, C4). Also, not all Michelins are Porsche approved. The Pilot Sport PS2 with the "N" designation is Porsche approved. There are also Pilot Sport PS2s without the N designation, which are technically not approved even though some would argue they are identical. The Pilot Super Sport is not Porsche approved. I'm not saying the OP shouldn't consider or buy the Super Sport, I've heard great things about them.
