Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Second, if you really want to change them to MKII, then I would either buy OEM new or find OEM used (even if you have to repaint them).

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have MKI side skirts and I want MKII. I found a set that look like MKII and they even look like seal grey.
What do you guys think? Are these MKII and do you think I have a color match or are they silver?
600 bucks but they're fiberglass.
I have a Seal Gray Mk2 with the factory skirts and after going to the garage several times to compare, I'm not completely positive but leaning toward yes. It'd be a lot easier if one pic had a whole one in it to compare. The color looks right though. I was not aware that the Mk1's and the Mk2's skirts were different, I guess that takes care of the new thing to learn for the day!
Because my car is a 2003 which was MKII and the front spoiler is more of an MKII spoiler. It never was right. It's how I bought the car. As a matter of fact, the car had a GT 2 front spoiler which I changed.
My opinion? First, if the ones you have on your car are OEM then I would leave them on. They look fine and not many people would no the difference between the MKI and MKII. Second, if you really want to change them to MKII, then I would either buy OEM new or find OEM used (even if you have to repaint them). I am not a fan of aftermarket fiber glass parts as many times they do not fit well and or require more time and work to properly install (especially if they are used and you do not have all the parts (i.e., the retaining clips that go underneath, the right screws, the tape, etc.)...
You can buy brand new OEM for $700. and then paint for maybe $200 ish and have what belongs on the car.
I'm going to get OEM and have them painted to match.
That's the right way to go. I believe the ones I have are OEM so I'll probably be able to sell them.
Not to steal a thread, but I agree too, the OE MKII ones look better to me than the MKI. Anyone know what those wheels are on the orange 996 in the pic on that link? I REALLY like them.
