Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all My passenger door window has recently started hitting the rear small window and it doesn't do it all the time for me to think door needs adjusting (this is what puzzeled me). Any suggestions on where to start digging?

POST 2Original post

Had the same issue a few months back tooy it to my indy and was fixed in under and hour no parts needed. Don't remember exactly what it was but basically drivers window slid back about 1/4" and was grinding at one point wiht the rear window and the top. You could see it slid back becasue my tints had a 1/4" gap after fix no problem and been about 6 months.

POST 3Original post

Probably the door panel has to come off to make slight adjustments. Dont know how though. You might find something on youtube.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Tnx for your inputs Hurdi and miami. im gona try to make some time to take it to my indy cuz its bugging the heck out of me. But what puzzeles me is that why is not doing it all the time? Could it be that since my car is lowered and when i take driveways at a corner i usually lift one of the tires in the air and that caused the door adjustment out of whack???????

Possible but highly improbable as the 966 chassis are so rigid in construction. For instance, if you jack a side up from front or rear jacking point, both side wheels come off the ground easily.

POST 7Original post

Had this happen last year, fixed under CPO. Just an adjustment I think.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thats what i figured too. For it NOT behaving the same every time is what puzzles me. If its out of adjustment then it should do it every time i close the door.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nice choice of color BTW Neb

Thanks, you too!. Mine got progressively worst, and the sound of glass on glass was horrible when you open the passanger door. Felt like the glass will break if you pull hard enough.
