Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hello my fans come on as soon as I start the car and run at full speed, then go off for a further minute or so then do the same again and this happens the whole time the engine is on.

POST 2Original post

They are always on when the air conditioning compressor is on. Try turning the compressor off and see if the fans stay on.

POST 3Original post

To check the ballast, turn the AC on and put your hand under the radiator exhaust (right in front of the front tire). If you don't feel any air, then run the car until the high speed fans come on.
