Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know much has been written about short shift kits in the past. However, very little about the RUF SSK. I was sold on the OEM 997 SSK based on info from forums and asked my indy to install. They are a RUF Auto dealer and very knowledgeable generally. I was told that the RUF SSK is a work of art and is an outstanding product which operates very smoothly and has no plastic parts. Does anyone have experience with the RUF SSK? Also, you can select setting from 20%, 30%, 40% shorter shift. Which is best for everyday driving? Does it shorten the travel for all gears (not just 1,3,5)? Thanks for all the great participation and information on this forum! Dan

Will also be interested to hear about this option. My OEM SSK is due to be replaced but haven't been able to decide between the 997 SSK, 997 stock, or 2010 GT3 option. If I understand it correctly the 997 stock and 2010 GT3 are not SSK, but also wondering if they have a shorter throw than the stock 996.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
