Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Outcome without a verified action link

The car came with a k&n installed and some other things I am still having to clean up (incorrectly installed head unit that was draining battery power), etc.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So have a 2001 C2 (tiptronic). Removed the k&N intake and replaced it with stock. Everything fit back up fine except this valve. Not sure if this is some pcv valve or vent valve. It originally was plugged into the large plastic tubing that connects to the throttle body. There is no matching hole in the snorkel to plug this into. Any idea what it is and where it goes?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not sure. The car came with a k&n installed and some other things I am still having to clean up (incorrectly installed head unit that was draining battery power), etc. Honestly, I will have to look it up and see what venturi tubes are. Car seemed to start up and idle fine but have not driven it yet since going back to stock air filter.

POST 4Original post

It's a vacuum line to the tip trans, supposed to be hooked up to the intake tube.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When you say it's supposed to be hooked up to the intake tube I am assuming you mean the snorkel that connects to the throttle body? Maybe I bought the wrong snorkel (one for a manual) when I bought this used one to go back to stock. So is it possible to just drill a hole in the current one and insert this? Thanks

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You were 100% right. It connects to the snorkel and I guess I bought the wrong one - one for a manual transmission - that doesn't have the extra tube that the vacuum line connects to. Problem solved Thanks
