Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

23 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've been debating it for a while, but I've finally come to the conclusion that: 1) I may never sell my car 2) I may be too tired to put back the OEM parts on it if I'm crazy enough to sell it. 3) These OEM parts take too much space So I'm selling the following parts from my well cared for 40th. Pics will follow eventually. All offers are or obo + shipping. Pickup near Indianapolis, IN. 996 MK2 OEM Clear Tail Lights. MSRP $1200 SOLD https://rennlist.com/forums/parts-ma...il-lights.html 996 MK2 3.6L OEM exhaust cans w/ OEM exhaust tips and "bypass" mod. This mod was done by my local exhaust shop. 1.75" tubing. SOLD 996 MK2 US M030 shocks. 35k miles. No springs since I'm still using them. "Gray" US M030 dot visible in pics. $75 obo + shipping 996 OEM yellow side markers SOLD

glad to hear it. shocks still available. price is for all 4.

POST 14Original post

Sorry for the newbie question... Would it be ok to just replace the shocks from stock without the springs, or would I have to purchase springs as well?

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 9730681

The US M030 springs are the same ride height as the stock springs. So the US M030 shocks work with the stock springs.

POST 16Original post

Anyone know if MK1 and Mk2 taillights are interchangeable? Thanks, DS

POST 17Original post

So, how would ride change with these shocks? Why would they be preferred over stock?

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 9731825

Yes the mk2 clear tail light is a direct replacement for the mk1 amber tail light.

http://web.archive.org/web/200307071...article_3.html in reality, i would recommend these US M030 shocks to 1) anyone with old worn out standard shocks. 2) someone looking to convert to a US M030 shock spring package. if your standard shocks are not very old and are working well, you may not appreciate much benefit from the US M030 shocks alone.

POST 20Original post

Are the tail lights in perfect or near perfect condition?

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 9736290

I don't recall a single blemish on the lights. But if u need perfection, new $1200 lights may be better

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Tail lights sold. US M030 shocks available with pics.

POST 23 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

bump. US M030 shocks reduced to $75 obo + shipping. thanks.
