Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Your keyfob won't unlock the door because you haven't driven your Porsche lately and you have to use your key to unlock it. Or, when you try to insert your key on the wrong side of the steering wheel, because you've forgotten that all Porsche ignitions are on the left. (I haven't used my Porsche in over a week, so I thought we could think of stuff that either happens, or doesn't happen due to driving neglect).
After a long time in a rental or something I always start to reach for the ignition on the right side
Also I never realized how damn sensitive the brake pedals are on other cars until I got used to the brakes on the C4S. I'll get a rental for work and damn when I just touch the brakes the car comes to a screeching halt! It is embarrassing when other people are riding with me. They think I have no idea how to drive.
How about the opposite though?
I drive my car a lot. I will never drive the wife's SUV unless absolutely necessary. But when I have to drive a rental or the wife's truck I'm always reach on the left side for the ignition and putting my foot into the non-existent clutch pedal.
The worst is how hard I push other vehicles on the street. It isn't on purpose. The wife's acadia handles like a boat on wheels. When I come up to a turn, no thinking, and hit the brakes and take the turn at speed, just about everything in the truck goes flying up towards the dash and to one side of the truck. It really pisses off the wife because she says I'm ruining her brakes
I can't help it.
I seat down on the river seat and for a second I think I am gonna fall on my ***, because the seat is so much lower than my SUV
then I feel that I am driving a go kart , than yeahhh (Y)
Mine is my daily driver so its the other way around for me. with my wifes car when i come to speed bumps/driveways i take it at a corner and i can see her looking at me funny from the corner of my eye like im crazy. LOL
Definitely happens to me. When I'm driving my wife's hybrid, and I absentmindedly approach an exit ramp too fast. As I'm just starting into the turn and the car's front end begins to plow into the turn (almost understeering), I try to casually reduce speed, as if I meant to do that.
Still she looks over at me and says dryly, "You're not driving your Porsche." Happens all the time.
I rented an alfa in Europe for a week and when i got home and into the porsche i thought something was wrong with the clutch. I thought why is it so hard to push. My leg just had to adjust to the heavy pedal.
When on my wife's BMW:
Tried to shift down/up using the steering wheel buttons.
Hand went to the center console looking for the window switch buttons.
Marveled at how quiet the car was (mine is a Cab so it's rather noisy).
Wondered why the car felt so slow.
I drive my C4S everyday, so when I have to drive something else i always instinctively try and put the key in on the left... wife is always saying, put the key in the AC vent again Bill? LOL
I drove mine for the first time in over a week this evening - we had some new concrete laid in my drive way, so it was imprisoned in the garage. I need to run an errand to buy a new toy, so the old toy came out to play.
While loading up in the parking lot after leaving the store, an old guy comes over to compliment my car - positively raving about how great it looked and how he once drove (what I'm guessing was a 993 from his comments) and how amazing it was to drive - he even made the comment that a car like a 911 doesn't need cup holders because you're focused on driving.
We must have chatted for 20 minutes or so. After commenting that he could not afford to buy one and that he only had a Chevy Yukon, he was astounded to hear that my "amazing" car was 12 years old (made me feel old considering how long I've owned it!) and had 73K miles on it - he said it looked like new. Even commented that he would be shocked if he could buy anything like it for less than $30K... I told him that I wished that were true, but he could probably pick one up in the $20-$25K range. Anyways, he follows me out of the parking lot to listen to my exhaust note for a while.
When I returned to my neighborhood I wound down my window and waved at a fellow PCA member who was leaving in his 996. As I pulled onto my street I had two young skateboarding kids shout "cool car!" as I passed by - I returned with a "Thanks!" and a wave.
It's nice to have a day like today.... now if only my 996 was a babe magnet instead of an old man an boy magnet.
