Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I can't lock or unlock my car for some reason on my 2004 C2. Anyone got an idea for me to try to get it working again? It still flashes it's red light but wont work??? Thanks

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes but it stops working all the time like that and I just have to physically unlock the door with the key then it stats working - that doesn't work now

POST 4Original post

It goes to sleep after 5 days and that's normal. Now you may have another problem Do you have another key that the remote works? You may have a bad circuit board and may need a new key. Maybe $200 for a new one. Then the Dealer will have to re-program all the keys to the car. Try changing battery in key first Good Luck

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Everything's fine with the car except the keys ...

POST 8Original post

The remote key fob has built-in obsolescence of eight to ten years from the factory. You need new ones. (IMHO)

POST 9Original post

Did you change the battery's in the remotes? Simplest cheapest thing to do.
