Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Yes the system was last filled with the vacuum tool.
Leading evidence: 'Fill with the vacuum tool' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check coolant lines' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Some further information.Prior to and after the coolant tank was replaced, the car was running a bit hotter than previously. The temp gauge warning light was blinking on and off.The needle is to the left of the mark between 180 and 250.The coolant level had not changed.

Suggestion
With the engine running check the coolant lines from the engine to the radiator and back again get warm/hot to make sure the t-stat is working ok.

Suggestion
I've filled using a vacuum tool many times, and at least once it has "overfilled" so to speak, completely filling the reservoir above the max line to the point where it was overflowing.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I notice a coolant leak from the overflow tube off the coolant tank.I have replaced the coolant tank and waterpump in the past few months. The car is a 99 and is used as a race car.The car has been on jack stands and has not been driven in 4 weeks. Finally I took the car off the stands ran it down the street and there is no coolant leak.Has anyone experienced this before?
I've filled using a vacuum tool many times, and at least once it has "overfilled" so to speak, completely filling the reservoir above the max line to the point where it was overflowing. But I took care of that situation as it happened, since I didn't want to be driving around with the level up to the brim of the cap.
Assuming the vacuum tool was used correctly, the car is not losing coolant, and the reservoir is at the proper level I don't see any reason to worry. You could do a few laps around on a track with the bleed valve open, certainly that will purge any air out at the high RPMs you probably regularly reach, not to mention the self bleeder opens itself once up to operating temp.
I would monitor the coolant level and temperature gauge closely for a while and be prepared to add distilled water in the event you are somewhere and the level is too low.

Could somehow still be air in the system and vacuum fill was not done properly.
The needle was past the 0?
Did/do you have a way to read out the actual temperature? (a/c hack, durametric, obd2, etc.)
How fast was the light blinking, every one half second, 1 second, or two seconds? They each mean different things.
