Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I usually ran 1:01.3's to 1.5's at Beaverun which a great place BTW.

Suggestion
Try just adjusting the seat so that you have a slight or good support under your legs so that you feel the pressure on the bottom of your legs while relaxed cruising.
Leading evidence: 'Run 1:01.3's' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust seat so' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. I found the seats really uncomfortable (I have the comfort seats) but then I lowered the seat as low as she would go and completely changed the comfort.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

just returned from my first over the river and through the woods trip this past wk-end. The ole 996, she performed flawlessly as expected. I left the Wash DC area around 1 PM on Thursday and returned tonight. I would not want to take her much farther than I did. Trip was to Pittsburgh.
Only issue I had was my A$$ was killing me at the end of the trip. Only on one side though. I'm thinking some padding work or seat upgrades are going on the list before spring hits...
Any pointers or finger pointing to the direction I should look firs? Any and all inputs are welcome.
I did get to stretch her legs a bit through the PA mountains on the way home. she felt great

Maybe you were tensed up a bit with hard driving, Try and relax more. Which side was hurting, left or right? May have to do with lots of clutching on winding roads or just tensed up slightly, ready to clutch any second. You needed to stop and get out once in a while for a walk around. We even walk about in an aircraft on long flights so maybe we need to stop more often. It's worth the aches and pains though isn't it lol.
These seats are not known as being super comfortable. There are those who have upgraded their seats, or have been lucky. I haven't been one of them. I've driven a few hundred miles and walked out with the same assymetric (heh, sorry couldn't resist) back/butt pain. I seem to have a problem on the left side, torquing my back with a stiff upper clutch.
RPM, are those stock seats? Curious how many people find them "very" comfortable. My discomfort is overweighed by grin on face every time.
I found the seats really uncomfortable (I have the comfort seats) but then I lowered the seat as low as she would go and completely changed the comfort. Now I can go 3 hrs without even needing to stretch
Since I got my '02 C2 around Christmas, I have been using it as a daily driver. About 52 miles RT to work and back. I am going to take a trip to visit with my mom and dad in Cincinnati (about 480 miles). I am leaving the family behind (or it would have to be the Navigator). I am seriously debating taking the C2 or my Hyundai.
Don't laugh, the Sonata is FWD (bad weather??), gets about 38-40MPG on regular gas, Sat. Radio, Blue tooth, voice command, a much better heater, and much more comfortable seats.
It's all interstate. So what do I do?
I always take the SUV for long trips. Only exception to that was a trip to Tampa from Charlotte.
But considering you could hit bad weather on the way to Cincy I would leave the Porsche home. In the summer the decision is more difficult.
I read a long time ago that having the legs supported by the front of the seat keeps back pain and such from creeping up. Figures since the torque of having the legs not supported twists things around. Being only one side you got the pain I'd think it was exercising one certainmuscle from movement or support. Seems strange but after I thought I had broken my back in my sleep it finally crept up on me that playing frogger with a nephew twiddling my thumbs all day only cramped up certain muscles in my back.
Try just adjusting the seat so that you have a slight or good support under your legs so that you feel the pressure on the bottom of your legs while relaxed cruising.
GASGAZ: No wallet. ID holder goes in the console.
C4CRNA: I believe I do but will verify to be sure. I also think the previos owner was a bit frumpy. I'm 6' and 180#
Hurdi: I'm a former motorcycle road racer so staying relaxed is key. Arm pump can lead to disaster. I usually ran 1:01.3's to 1.5's at Beaverun which a great place BTW. Located in Wampum PA
Barn996: Just under 600 miles round trip. No snows, but Conti Extreme Contact DW's. It rained the entire trip to Pittsburgh, but sunny on the way back. I experienced rain temps from 33 to 53 dg with no traction issues at all.
Peter 642: Yes, stock seats to my knowledge.
PAC996: Back of my legs have been slightly elevated since day one. An SCCA buddy of mine gave me that pointer as soon as he saw the car.
I seriously think after examining it today the padding is pretty much non existent on the throttle side of the seat when compared to the left side. Thinking that previous owner leaned to the right a lot. LOL
If bad weather a possibility take the vehicle with the tires most suited for the weather.
Otherwise, take the Porsche. I have driven over 250K miles in my Boxster and over 86K miles in my Turbo and really people you do not know what you are missing if you do not take your Porsche out on a long road trip, for a long drive. I mean a long drive.
I can cover 700 miles or more in a day's driving and at the end of the (long) day get out of the car either car feeling pretty darn good. Tired, mainly my eyes, but the rest of me feeling real good.
So good that I often have to resort to climbing/descending the motel/hotel stairs to get some physical exercise to help me sleep. I'm certainly not tired of the drive.
Sincerely,
Macster.
