Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

One additional request guys: VIN - WP0AB29921S685359 I was also wonderingm how would I potentially look-up a PCA member from a VIN? In the case of the car above, I know it was previously owned by a 15 year member of PCA and he sold the car to a dealer. The dealer has no maintenance records, but I assume the previous owner would. Any suggestions?

You may look in the manual cover. Sometimes, there's info in there pertaining to someone who did work on it and you might be able to track from their. Carfax is worthless - quite the scam. I was trying to do the same. I found a shop that did work on mine, but couldn't locate the original owner's name (which is how they file the records). VIN had no part in their search capability, although they said if I knew the previous owner they'd be glad to provide the info. Good luck.
