Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My '99 has the taco wing fitted from the factory, but I still get the spoiler warning light on the dash when the car starts up.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

20 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've got a 996 MK1 Aero wing, also known as the "Taco Wing". It came off a narrow body C4, but will fit all MK1 (1999-2001) C2's. $1500 including shipping. Pictures below. Please PM me if interested.

POST 3Original post

That is a fantastic price on an OEM taco tail. Would you be willing to sell the wiring?

mark, the wiring is readily available at suncoast or sunset. Just tell them you need the wire harness for the fixed wing on your Mk1.

POST 6Original post

I would buy this in a second but I dont need it... Wish I did though.

POST 7Original post

It's nice, wish I needed one. I am guessing that you are also including the fan too ?

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yup, fan is included.

POST 12Original post

Is the wing standard black or is it metallic? My paint code is L741

POST 15Original post

nice... this is the hardest to get of the mk1 aerokit.

POST 16Original post

I have a spare center section for the wing if anyone wants a fancy office decoration. I was going to make a mold of it to make a carbon fiber one but haven't had the time.

Wow that was fast !

Since the wing has sold, I don't think I'll be thread-jacking... What does the wiring harness do? My '99 has the taco wing fitted from the factory, but I still get the spoiler warning light on the dash when the car starts up. It does switch off after a few feet of driving.

if the light turn off, you have the correct harness. With the stock harness, it will remain on.
