I was wavering on what color to use, either white or black.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm now leaning towards one of the metallic colors, but am still not sure which to use.
Just because I can't think of enough things to do with my money
I would like to do a side stripe on my Turbo. I really like the stripes created by
Porsche Stripes
, and particularly like this one. My car is Guards Red. I was wavering on what color to use, either white or black. Then I looked at their color palette, and saw that they have two metallic colors as well - Anthracite and Silver. I'm now leaning towards one of the metallic colors, but am still not sure which to use. Looking for a vote from the party faithful.
TIA

Do you have more color mock-up photos. Silver on Guards red sounds sporty. Also, are you going with the text "TEXT" in the stripe, or something more clever?
Frisbee - I was thinking about taking the time to photochop the picture to show a guards red car with the colored stripe, but I'm not that good with photoshop and would take a crazy amount of time to do it. Can't justify it.
Instead of "Text" I was going to personalize the car by having my name put in the stripe.
That would certainly make the car unique.

Ed: I've got to give you credit on this one. The stripes cost about the same as a helmet. I certainly know that I'd have more fun on a DE than watching my "stripe-ed" car as I walk away.
I just thought that it looked neat. I guess that I am in the minority. As I remember, I was the only one that liked chrome wheels as well. Hmmmm
Maybe I need a necromancer indoctrination!!

There are some Guards Red examples in the photo gallery on the site. While I'm not in love with the checkered side decals, a subtle pair of stripes offset from center in silver or a dark metallic would probably look cool.
It's your car, do whatever you want!
Larry, Larry, Larry, no, no no, say it ain't so.....no stripes, it is not a GT3, ( or an RS)..IMHO the turbo is simply gorgeous in its own right. Having said that, it is like house decorating (*cringe*) what is tasteful to one is not the cup of tea for another....if you like chrome wheels and metallic stripes, so be it!
FWIW, there a more than a few in here who recommend spending $$$ on DE's. Improves driving skills, makes you feel younger, look better, cuz ya can't stop smiling......... while it ain't the fountain of "yout", sure come close......and the stories and people and thrills,....oh well, just go, you'll see!
Pete, no I didn't put a choice in for "No Stripes". I never anticipated that the tenor of the crowd would be so dramatically in that direction. OK, no stripes. I'm saving money for a helmet and the next DE.
I did a number of AutoX in my 73, and loved it. I am sure that I will love the DE as well. I am just a bit concerned about trashing the car. Since this is my DD, I really can't afford to miss a turn in it. I'll keep thinking about it.
In spite of the fact that you guys are so totally against my desire for stripes, I still love ya' anyways.

lol, yellow flames! +1, SSST
+1 Pete, stripes in shorts....roflmao
BTW, Larry, your first few times, you really shouldn't worry about any "metal forming classes' at the track, you'll have an instructor and you should be fine, really......
Larry, I think you got the message from all of us. NO stripes
I will say if you are itching for a mod and don't want to spend on track days or a helmet. Hhhmmm put an exhaust? rum rum!
