Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

So I am the (new) proud owner of an 04 C4S cab - that I use as my daily driver and I have gotten a ton of useful info from the boards - did the PSE mod and am waiting on parts for my Garage Door opener and a few other things to make the car a bit more friendly as a DD - but my #1 issue is a cup holder that could hold a water bottle and not let it going flying around during my 'spirited' commute to work!

I tried the factory cupholders, but locations sucked, I found the only really useful (and tasteful, sorry hurdi your cupholder looks awful as does your billboard on the back of your otherwise nice 996) cupholder to be the same one Marc uses, the ultimate cupholder.
Leading evidence: 'cup holder' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'cup holder' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Use the ultimate cupholder' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I know some of you smart folks will have done this and I would love to see photos. I saw at least one that was mounted on the passenger side foot well that looks interesting but can't find the photo now -
Thanks in advance everyone
!
Snapped off a retaining clip in the factory cup holder in my '02 yesterday. It has always been a bit sticky and recalcitrant anyway so I decided to look into a replacement part... dcAuto wants $615.00 for a bloody used one!
I'm going to call Sunset, but I fear that sucker will remain sticky and kinda broken for a good while.
Ooof. That looks awful. Looks like a Mcdonalds cardboard drink holder stuffed in the middle of a sports car.
But, if it's functional for you, I guess it's better than spilled coffee.
Oh sorry. I didn't know we were looking for the best looking coffee pot holders. BTW it's plastic not cardboard and works very well indeed. OH and it didn't cost over $600 either. God what do you guys want for under $10 I ask you?

I have the 2 cup holders above my center air vents on my 02 996.
Whenever I get coffee I tell them to leave about 3 inches of room at the top.
Apparently people don't know what 3 inches means because the cup is always full!
I learned to skip the "leave room" part and just dump out the coffee myself.
German Engineering=Cup holders directly in front of the air vents. This way your cup of coffee blocks the cold air on a hot day while simultaneously reducing the temp of a perfect cup of coffee by 30 degrees in 5 minutes!
I popped out the cartridge and soaked mine in plain water - they aren't stiky at all now and operate smoothly. Still going to order the one Marc linked, hubby loves it. @ Hurdi ... that is scary mate. You realize we can't *un-see* that frankenholder?
I don't leave it there all the time. I sling it under the dropped down back seat and slide it in place when I need to use it. Its not fixed but slots in between the seat and the console. May look crap to some eyes but by god it works a treat. Anyway I like it, so bollux to you and that cockney git. The devil himself made me say that hehe.
Just playful banter you understand.
