Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I know that these are designed to be installed based on the spring tollerance which is marked on the spring to obtain the "correct" ride height.

I'm interested in finding out what others have found installed on their cars when disassembling the suspension for upgrades.

I ordered a set of the thinner ones with the thought of using those to gain an extra 3mm of lowering all around if the thicker one(s) are already installed.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm getting ready to install the ROW M030 and noticed when researching parts that there are compensation plates/shims/spacers that are part of the strut stack. Looking at parts lists, there appear to be two different thicknesses of these plates available with the thinner ones about 3mm less than the thicker ones front and rear. I ordered a set of the thinner ones with the thought of using those to gain an extra 3mm of lowering all around if the thicker one(s) are already installed. I know that these are designed to be installed based on the spring tollerance which is marked on the spring to obtain the "correct" ride height. I'm interested in finding out what others have found installed on their cars when disassembling the suspension for upgrades. A single spacer? A thick (6.5mm front, 4mm rear) spacer? No spacer? Thanks for any info.
