Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261026T190023Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm still working on my engine swap - slowly... anyway, how does this disconnect actually disconnect? Does the collar rotate? Or is there some other way to separate the lines? Both my 996 and my donor 997 have the same disconnect. https://cdn4.pelicanparts.com/techar...arge/pic14.jpg

POST 2Original post

Rotate and pull if I recall (seems like forever since I did mine) correctly. It should be detailed in the tech article.

POST 3Original post

If you're talking about the one pointed by the blue arrow, that's a quick connect. Just squeeze the tab behind and pull out straight.

no tabs to push on this one. i'm reluctant to force it but it must be some rotation to separate the parts. It's a Raymatics part, maybe i'll call them on |Monday.

I'm hoping counter clockwise but I may call Raymatics on Monday to see if they know.

POST 6Original post

Quotes source post: 15208954

There's a tab at the back. Check with an inspection mirror.

I'll do that tomorrow. Knackered.I'm prepping both cars at the same time. Thanks for the advice.

POST 8Original post

When I have a chance tomorrow morning I'll check mine when I get to my warehouse.

POST 9Original post

Mine is the pinch and pull as Ahsai described. Real simple once you get a grip on it.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you both! I won't get back to it until Saturday probably.

POST 11Original post

Quotes source post: 15209134

If I have learned one thing here, it is that Ahsai knows his stuff. You can rest assured that there is a tab back there if he says there is.

Haha, thanks. Just hate to see someone destroys that $5 connector and found out it comes with the two fuel rails from Porsche as one piece ($400+).

POST 13Original post

I apologize for resurrecting an old thread, but I just want to say thank you. I could not figure this connection out, and this thread saved me. There IS a tab, it's recessed into the back of the connector, it doesn't feel like a tab, but it's there. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
