Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I used an aluminum flat bar and used epoxy to glue it inside the "tray".

first because my main seal should be replaced but secondly because that "tray" doesnt catch the water getting in anymore.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi
For a lack of a better name I will call this part a sunroof tray , it got caught somewhere inside the roof while I was closing the sunroof ( sunroof going forward)
I didnt realized the problem right away cause we got no rain for a month now. But now my sunroof is leaking.. first because my main seal should be replaced but secondly because that "tray" doesnt catch the water getting in anymore.
I closed the sunroof as I alway do and remarked a small decrease in closing speed but that was it.
The second time I opened and closed the roof everything went fine.
But I saw that I was missing a piece there but couldnt get what it was until I carefully inspect between the tilted sunroof and the liner where I saw that "tray" bended in the middle stuck on the metal frame.
What can I do now?
Is it possible to only change that part or I have to take out the complete sunroof assembly?
I use pictures found on the forum so thanks to the other members who posted them.
I was thinking about repairing that piece or replacing it if possible with a brand new part.
The rubber gasket goes on the top edge of this part.
I do have the gasket the the plastic tray is bended so I cant re-install it.
You can feel a carpet pad under the tray which help it to slide on the metal that are in the roof mine was starting to peel off and catched on a metal part which caused the part to bend and crack.
Unfortunately I didnt find more then whats in the parts catalog.
It seems that its a single piece only so no spare parts for the assembly and that's include the seal going on the "tray" I would like to repair..
Cant believe you cant even get that..
Anyway I think I am missing part No. 23 cause if I pass my hand underneat the sun roof I can feel an unprotected metal frame, exactly where the tray get caught.
I was able to "repair" it..
I used an aluminum flat bar and used epoxy to glue it inside the "tray". Flat bar was painted black, almost impossible to notice.
Now its almost flat and is less prone to catch on the metal frame. I also added some soft velcro on the metal frame to let the tray slide on it.
Worked perfectly the first two attemps, third time the tray catched again on the metal frame, the metal bar is unglued so I removed it and the tray is now bended as it was before...
Thats how I figure I am missing part 23...
