I like the looks of the OEM cover but I'm wondering if it would leave any scratches in the paint if the car isn't completely clean when I put it on since it fits so tight.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm trying to find the best fitting indoor cover for a 996 with the full aerokit and stationary wing. I found one on suncoast that has the GT2 emblem on it but I was wondering if anyone else has one that fits well with the same wing and aerokit. Anybody know of any other options? Thanks. https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/996INDCC.html

Factory Aero Car Cover I have the factory outdoor one designed for 996/997 with aero kit and wing. As you can see it fits perfectly.

POST 3Original post

I bought the exact one that you linked in your original post. It fits perfectly and is exactly what I needed in an indoor cover. Some people complain that it is too tight. I am not one of those people. D.

POST 4Original post

^^^ Have the same on my 99 Aero and it fits like a glove. Expensive but the quality is outstanding.

POST 5Original post

I have this on my 996 aero and it is perfect. Designed for the 996 but fits with the wing, etc., with no problem. https://www.carcoverusa.com/coverkin...-car-cover.php

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for all of the info. I like the looks of the OEM cover but I'm wondering if it would leave any scratches in the paint if the car isn't completely clean when I put it on since it fits so tight. I have a small garage space so I need something that's pretty form fitting but I won't be able to only put the cover on after I wash the car. Anyone have any issues with scratches in the paint? If anyone else has any pics of how their cover fits... other brands of covers would be great. Thanks!

POST 7Original post

I bought this indoor cover from a UK vendor on Ebay. Fits nice and snug and very lightweight. It was around $100 as I recall.

I use the California Dust Buster before I cover my car. No scratches unless you put it on a dusty dirty car..
