Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

01 Cab, tiptronic, 85kmiles. 1. Put the key in the door, turned to open and close top. No problem 2. Put the key in ignition, turn on (engine not running), handbrake up, pushed rocker switch to open and close top. No problem 3. Crank the engine, handbrake up, pushed rocker switch to open and close top. No problem 4. Put car in reverse to back out the garage. Pushed rocker switch to open and close top. Problem. Top does not work Fuse B5 burned. Driver/passenger mirrors cannot be adjusted, backup lights is out (bulbs are good). Replaced B5 fuse and same problem. Read on many forums and found out that the problem is either a short in the system or a defective tiptronic selector switch. What is the function of the selector switch and how can I test it? Just don't want to spend $350 for a new switch and find out it is short somewhere thanks
