Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Those that have installed the IMS Solution themselves; I have a few things I was hoping to learn here. First, like another guy on here I had to grind away much more material than anticipated. While not that big of a deal covering up the hole to grind away three times was a headache.
Second, that little O-ring for the center bolt of the flange. I put that on the stud and then bolted down. Directions where somewhat vague on where that goes exactly…?
And speaking of that center nut…who successfully got a wrench or a socket on there with the flange diameter of the cut out in getting in the way? No wrench I have will fit on the bolt…all I could do was snug down by turning the center stud.
Kit is superb quality and everything is beautifully made and packaged. A lot makes sense with install but these few hang ups have me baffled.
Thanks for any input!

The IMS Solution supplemental tool kit should have been purchased to have the proper tools on hand for this job. This includes the special socket for the center nut that you mention in this post. It also includes a specific driver for the IMS tube blockoff, which has a specific depth of installlation, set by the tool.
These kits were specifically designed for professional installations, and are not recommended for DIY efforts. Many have done this job in their own garages, and it is possible.
Hey Chris - like Jake mentioned, the supplemental tool kit is going to be worth the investment.
Good luck with the project and be sure to post some pictures. The key thing is to take your time and don't rush or get frustrated. If you aren't sure, you're doing the right thing by asking questions. The IMS Solution is pretty awesome.
Thanks everyone for your responses and support. I ordered the supplemental kit as well...that answers a lot of questions in itself and the O-ring location now makes the most sense.
Hope to be up and going soon!
Chris
I bought both tool kits direct from LN and then sold them to another forum member after I was finished. I forget the exact numbers but it cost roughly $200 when it was all said and done. Not a bad price to have the right tools for the job.
