Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I got in my car yesterday (2000 996 C2) and realized my electric drivers seat quit working. The passenger works fine but the drivers side won't move at all and the only noise it makes is a single click sound for both adjustment ***** which I am assuming relays... Anyone experienced this or have any ideas? I have already replaced the IMS & RMS so it can't be that JK

POST 2Original post

There was a guy on the forum having similar problems, but worse. His driver seat would recline all the way back while driving down the road. Can you imagine the looks from other drivers? hahaha

hahaha yea luckily my seat is stuck in the right position. I have heard about issues with other cars (not P cars) having a short in the horn that would make it sound off randomly. I got a good laugh on that one too.
