Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

44 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

What are you listening to when you jump into your 996 and making your commute or doing your weekend drive recently? If you post a indie band (Less known) give a little description about them so others who are open to giving a listen to a new band can get an idea if they might like to try it! Music often makes the drive in my Porsche come alive! Group Glass Animals - Album Zaba = Mix between Island Music and Pink Floyd Group Revivalists - Album Men amongst Mountains = Mix between Jazz and Funk

POST 6Original post

Engine. I keep meaning to do something with the stereo for long trips but for driving around town, I have the windows down listening to it growl.

POST 7Original post

I made a few CDs with a wide variety of tunes. Ok maybe not that wide of variety, mostly hard rock and old metal. Goes well with driving this car.

POST 8Original post

I have eclectic tastes. So its what ever the mood dictates.. I have to say however I do like driving to Phil Collins 'In the air tonight' trying to recreate Miami Vice in the Daytona! I'm a bit 80's old school. I used to the same thing in my Ford Mkiii Cortina so not much has changed other than the hair colour.. I bet Don Johnson's not so flash either. ( I heard the Daytona in question was a kit anyhow! .... O_Sr.

POST 9Original post

My IMS(B) deteriorating with every KM I drive.

Hello darkness my old friend...

POST 11Original post

I've been meaning to update my stereo and speakers (I'm planning to get to it by year end), but the reality is I've got the top down / and or the windows down pretty much the entire time. Makes listening to anything other than a growl-y engine and wind in my hair pretty much a non-starter. And I'm okay with that

POST 12Original post

I love swing bands and when ever the opportunity presents in a bar, function, or whatever I stand in as a vocalist. For guys with trophy wives this will ring true. Benny Goodman and Peggy Lee - Why Don't You Do Right - YouTube

POST 13Original post

Usually just the engine...but in stop and go I'll play KKJZ (for all types of jazz). I prefer the spontinaity or radio where I don't know what I'll hear next, to programming another device. I wouldn't invest a dime in upgrading the sound system...its just fine for a guy with two hearing aids.

"Swing swing swing" from the 1938 Carnaige Hall Jazz Concert is also pretty good on a long stretch of straight road.

POST 15Original post

Been too lazy to switch playlists on my phone, so lots of Misfits (the good stuff, not the walking corpse Doyle is pushing around). Seems to be playing havoc with the electronic throttle though....

POST 16Original post

Mostly the engine but occasionally so oldies CDs

POST 18Original post

"Here comes the Rooster", Alice in Chains. Great song for mashing the throttle. Back story on that song reminds you of why everybody should stand for the National Anthem. Alice In Chains - Rooster - YouTube '90's Alternative Rock on Pandora is a great channel.

Why worry - Dire Straights! :-)

POST 20Original post

Anything by Bette Midler...not only is she beautiful but damn that woman can sing!

POST 21Original post

Interesting choices, especially by those of us with a bit of "patina"....... makes me smile when I look at your choices....... for me, Fister D and FVD x pipe....that'a all the sweet music I need.

Now that stirs up memories of what seems like somebody else's life but I think may have been my own.

POST 23Original post

My 6 CD changer is currently loaded up with: Dave Weckl Band Police - Syncronicity Sting- Dream of the blue turtles Robert Palmer - Heavy Nova Joni Mitchell - Night Ride Home Mike Stern & Eric Johnson - Eclectic

POST 24Original post

Ok, the few times I've listened on my headphones, it's been sets by Steve Aoki, Martin Solveig, and marshmellow.

POST 25Original post

Can't stand CC-style commercial radio, so I listen to the public jazz station or the news. Or just the engine. I don't have the patience for playing CDs. My music shortcut for now is ordering a portable bluetooth speaker and "mounting" it in the factory cupholders. Not the highest fidelity, but would work for books on tape. I'm just not sure it's worth the investment to replace the entire CDR-23 Bose system at this point, especially in a cab. As for bands I'd like to listen to, I'll offer up QOTSA and Toe .

POST 26Original post

Going to hook up the phone at some point so I can listen to http://www.nostalgie.fr/ Mostly around town it's been sports radio, with some alternative radio from the Current. Some local bands are in the cd player, but it's mostly set to radio.

POST 27Original post

I don't really listen to music in this car. Mostly hear the LWFW in traffic that reminds me of my elementary school rock tumbler. Exhaust and intake otherwise, especially in tunnels. Snoop's Doggystyle was in the CD player when I picked it up. Its still in there.

POST 28 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This week has been Pink Floyd (The Wall) and Grateful Dead!

POST 29Original post

I just found Sex Pistols in my collection again so that's this week's sound track

POST 30Original post

My radio died over a year ago and never bothered to replace it since the PSE in a cab from 5K-redline is addictive.

POST 31Original post

Im probably the only one listening black and death metal in a 996

POST 32Original post

Bruuuuce ,U2,Kenny Chesney,David Allen Coe,Van Halen and of course I am forced to listen to my feeble attempts at singing along.I'm to old to care what others think.

POST 33Original post

Eminem, Die Antwoord, Pit Bull, Bad Religion, Flogging Molly, Joy Division/New Order, Ultravox, Midge Ure, Metallica, Black Sabbath. Pretty much everything except new age sh*t, country, and folk/hippie music. I'd rather get kicked in the nuts than have to listen to Bob Dylan.

POST 34Original post

Mostly Johnny Winter. Or Little Walter, or sometimes Steve Earle. And recently, Sturgill Simpson.

POST 35Original post

sonorous induction sounds as I refuse to believe full throttle is full throttle.

POST 36Original post

Quotes source post: 13625625

New Die Antwoord is sooo good eh?

POST 37Original post

are those the faces of people realizing the 9A1 has bore scoring issues too?

POST 39Original post

Well.. NOfX, NoUseForAName, Me First And the Gimmie Gimmies, 21pilots, Weezer.. that's my usual rotation with some other stuff mixed in.

POST 40Original post

I like the cut of your jib. Toss in some Bad Religion and Descendents and you are cooking with sterno.

POST 41Original post

Today was Porcupine Tree "Deadwing" because it was a long freeway drive today (read boooooring) so needing some stimulus. What an amazing drummer in this band. Progressive British Rock and this album is from around 10 years ago. Anything could be playing from Andrea Bocelli, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Beasty Boys, Kenny Chesney, Metallica - you name it - but only if I'm driving long boring roads or stuck in traffic. Otherwise it's PSE and the sound of my pulse playing in the ears.

POST 42Original post

Now you guys got me all nostalgic and sh"t. Breaking out nofx and joy division today. Sprinkling in some Operation Ivy for a kick@ss Pandora channel that truly explores the happiness of suffering. Regular rotation is pretty much just downloaded House sets from EDM festivals.

POST 43Original post

The Black Crowes. If you like the Rolling Stones or Led Zeppelin you might like them.

POST 44Original post

My changer is full of Led Zeppelin, but it's rarely turned on. Rather listen to the same at home in a more "controlled environment". Thanks, Darrin Fister!
