I'm quite with about them, will get a new set when these wear out.

I'm getting 245/45/17's put on my E500 this weekend. Hankook V4's.
I found them on onlinetires dot com really cheap. And then Pep Boys (yes Pep Boys) told me they would "price match" plus 5% off. I was pretty happy with that! I won't tell ya what the dealership wanted for the Conti's.
The v4's are more of an All Season High Performance, as I prefer to keep the road noise/rumble to a minimum for as long as possible on my commuter. I used to get the directionals, but the road noise would start after 5k miles...
