Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I washed it with soap and water and never could get it to come clean of the film it put on my car so I bought this Covercraft.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Everyone has different needs and different storage for their prized possessions, but I thought I would throw out my 2 cents on this car cover made by Covercraft. https://www.covercraft.com/us/en/pro...r-cover.C-CCB2 I keep my '99 in a carport which doesn't get wet, but does get some moisture and then dust/pollen. It drives me up the wall to not be home for a couple of weeks and have to wash it just to drive it for the weekend that I am home when I just washed it before the last drive, lol. I tried a cheap ebay one and it left some sort of petroleum-like film on the car after it was washed and waxed. I washed it with soap and water and never could get it to come clean of the film it put on my car so I bought this Covercraft. It fits like a glove, gives good dust protection (even though the reviews are middle of the road for dust protection) and it keeps my dam cat's paw prints off it. My car is black so it shows everything, lol. Anyways, just thought I would throw it out there if someone needs a fit like a glove cover that offers some basic protection. I do not plan to test it's waterproofing, just keepin her clean

POST 3Original post

Good to know, I need an exterior cover and will try out the water protection part of that claim!
