A cut-off switch in a 996 is going to make you have to reset a few things every time you drive the car.

Looks like my factory style battery is giving up. In my Mustang, I have a battery cuttoff switch (installed by my suspension builder) that has kept my OEM style battery alive for over 5 years as I disconnect whenever Im not driving the car. Wondering if anyone has any experience with the 925T Battery and Rennlines Switch Mount. The car will get driven in colder seasons as well as summer time, any drawbacks to the smaller, lighter battery?

Yeah, I have a built-in maintainer now, but I’m thinking about adding a switch for safety and ease of battery disconnection when working on the car. Also like the lighter weight battery.

I have not ordered the kit yet but i'm still planning to do so. I'm either going to go with an aftermarket radio to add bluetooth capabilities to my car... or delete the radio all together and use the top storage cubby from the center console I deleted to fill the void the head unit will leave. Would delete amps/speakers if I go this route also. I dont necesarily care about "one touch" windows but for longer drives I would reset that function. Upon initial startup I understand that I have to turn the key to the "ON" position for 60 seconds, turn to "OFF" for 10 seconds, turn back to "ON" for 10 seconds then fire up for the system to re-initiate? If I plan to drive the car a couple times a week, I'll just leave the breaker on but in the winter, driving it once a week or so, hit the breaker and save the battery... Worst case scenario, I leave it on all the time and waste a couple bucks on the kill switch setup
