Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My wheels have a couple of areas where the paint seems to be chipped and peeling a bit. They are small - largest one is not quite 10mm square. These wheels are silver colored, which seems to be more or less standard. Anyone know of a source for touchup paint?

POST 3Original post

If they are Porsche OEM wheels, I bought Dr. Colorchip to match. If you don't know about them, there's some good YouTube videos on how to apply their paint. I'll never go back to standard touch up paint again.

The top of the bottle says 9A1.

POST 6Original post

Sometime ago, I ordered two Wurth products and touched up my 996's factory wheels: Wurth part # P883149 Silver Wurth part # P883150 Clear The Silver color was a perfect match, and the non-gloss Clear sealed the deal. FWIW, I ordered the paint from Eckler's, [phone removed], But be advised these part numbers may be out of date. relinuca

When you used these products, did the wheel touch up seamlessly or did you do the whole wheel? I asked because I just curbed my wife's 535 and she's not happy with me! Looking to get out of the doghouse cheaply.
