Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
You should check the connectors and see if the actuators actually move when selecting various zones.
Leading evidence: 'Check connectors and see if the actuators actually move' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check connectors and see if the actuators actually move' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

You have to crawl underneath the dash in the passenger footwell to inspect the blend valve mechanism on the right side of the heater/air flow box.

Did they undo the lines on the heater radiator and run the engine until coolant flowed out?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a 1999 carrera 4.
I have cold air blowing from the vents even on high. I can get Luke warm air from the bottom, sides and defrost at some point, but the center vents are always cold.
Took it in and the dealer flushed the heater radiator . Heat was back, but center vents are still cold. Then went to fill up the car and when I started it, heat was gone again.
I am taking the car back, but the tech said cold air is normal from the center vents as it only takes air from the outside. I suppose he would know better than I but that seems strange that the center vents don't blow hot air?
When I have my heat on, it blows hot air from the center vents, as well as the defroster and foot vents. I have heard from others that having the coolant system properly "burped" works to get the heating working right again. How can the dealer flush the heater radiator only? Did they undo the lines on the heater radiator and run the engine until coolant flowed out?
To get the car properly "burped", open the coolant burp valve manually on top of the coolant tank. That will allow any air that has gotten into the system to escape. It may take as many as 4-5 heating and cooling cycles to remove any air. Make sure the coolant tank stays topped up. Add if necessary 50/50 mix Porsche coolant and distilled water.
The other issue I have heard is the blend valve mechanism on the right hand side of the air box becomes detached or broken. You have to crawl underneath the dash in the passenger footwell to inspect the blend valve mechanism on the right side of the heater/air flow box. I'll try to find a picture, someone did this before and found that to be the problem.
This diagram shows where some of the electric motors are on the airbox. You should check the connectors and see if the actuators actually move when selecting various zones. One guy found a pin missing from Part No. 6 and replaced it with another pin that worked.

By the way - the heater core is always charged with hot coolant. It is the electric actuators on the airbox that control air flow and fresh air intake.
Thanks for all this!
I just took it back and they said all blend doors all checked out. Possible the radiator is the problem but they will try everything else first.
I hope it is not the radiator.
