Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I run small spacers on the front to make the wheels sit right.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I came across a minty condition set of OEM 19" Carrera Classic wheels. I have a 2004 AE, unfortunately without the original MY02/polished finish from factory. So matching the AE look 100% isn't a priority for me. My current 18's are straight and would make great track wheels, but they do have some curb rash.
I have purchased a set of 315/25/19 for the rears which according to all the calculators and research is the correct height for the rear tire. I know there is always debate about wheel width etc, but I'm confident these will fit without rubbing.
My question is on the fronts. Would 225/35/19 be a better fit or 235/35/19?
225/35/19 is exactly the same height as 315/25/19 according to the tire size calculator. But is 225 too skinny for the front with the super wide 315's?
235/35 for the front is ever so slightly taller than my 315/25/19. This configuration matches the factory configuration of 225/40/18 front and 285/30/18 rear. The factory setup is actually a slightly taller tire in the front than the rear. Which seems odd, but it is.
Thanks for the help!
I have the same wheel on mine. I run 245/40/19 fronts and 295/35/19 rear Michelin PSS. This set up does not rub and feels very balanced. The car doesn't push in the corners much at all with a 245 up front. I run small spacers on the front to make the wheels sit right. I definitely wouldn't run a 225 up front, and 235 might even be pushing it.
No worries. Looks great though. Are you on stock ride height? What tire size do you run upfront? I think you mistyped in your post. No spacer in the rear correct?
