Suspected cause

It's either the ims flange or the rms, I would suspect the latter.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Have a decent sized leak on the front of the engine where the trans connects to engine. Leaves drops each day. I had the seal replaced about 40K miles ago when I had the IMS done. My motor mounts were completely trashed and betting that the trans mount is too. Could this have anything to do with it? Doesn't seem to be affecting the clutch yet. Should I address it? Or wait until I need a clutch? If I pull trans, would probably go ahead and put in a clutch.

POST 2Original post

It's either the ims flange or the rms, I would suspect the latter. If the seal was the new style and not installed correctly it will leak. A few drops isn't a urging to panic about yet, but you will probably want to address it soon. Engine and trans mount will have no bearing on this.
