Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

17 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

3 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is anyone else getting a spamy ad that redirects to an amazon gift card thing? Ive been getting it every day that Ive visited rennlist for the past two weeks. It happens when I click on a thread and instead of going into the thread it just takes me to this super spammy ad page and my browser wont go back.

POST 2Original post

I don't get them on my Desktop PC but on my iPad I cannot even look at Rennlist, every time I try I get these pop-ups. It is a fishing scam.I have updated the IOS, removed all the history and cookies, followed numerous methods that I found by googling (apple and other sources) nothing works, so I guess I just won't look at Rennlist on the iPad. When you google this subject they say it is not the OS but has something to od with the site (Rennlist). Really a bummer.

POST 3Original post

There are several threads on this topic in the forum glitches area. It is a serious problem for iPad and iPhone users. Not sure about other mobile devices, but IB is struggling to find a solution.

POST 4Original post

Under experimental feature in safari settings, I disable the “link preload” option. Seems to have solved it for me. The problem first appeared on the Range Rover forum, but also spread to this one as well as 6speed.

POST 5Original post

Happens on my Android too. I'll try to find a comparable setting to disable. D.

POST 6Original post

I don't have the issue on my computers and I don't use Rennlist on my phone. I did note the following at the bottom of the page; I wonder if this "feature" is the cause of the issue? " Copyright 1998 - 2017 Rennlist.com We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program , an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites."

POST 7Original post

Ive been getting these pop ups more and more on my iPhone. Installed a pop up blocker called 1Blocker. That solves the problem for me.

POST 8Original post

No issues on my laptop, but getting spammed occasionally on my Andriod phone using Chrome and the mobile site.

POST 9Original post

Add me to the list. Not all the time, but just enough to be annoying.

POST 10Original post

The only time I get spam is when I have not logged in. If I open Rennlist just to view without logging into my username then I will get some. Try joining the forum

POST 11Original post

Download the free Norton and blocker app. Problem solved.

POST 12Original post

On your Apple device, turning off JavaScript in Safari settings will stop it. Updating your IOS also helps.

POST 13Original post

WTF!!!! Blocking JavaScript on Safari works. Cant get rid of it on Chrome!!!

Thanks for the tip! Ill be doing this since 99% of the time Im on my iPad while browsing Rennlist!

POST 15Original post

I downloaded an app called Ad Buster for my iPad. That did the trick.

POST 16Original post

There is a free app called AdBlock that solves this. Easy to install also. As best I can tell, this is caused by spammers leveraging ad networks to get their malicious code onto otherwise legit sites.

POST 17Original post

Was getting that redirect on my Android for awhile then it went away, then came back. Seems okay for me now but its very annoying when it happens!
