Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just ordered 1-3 bank lower left tensioner and they look way DIFFERENT then the factory stamping on the block and in Waynes Book. .. what gives?? Anyone seen this or just wrong part in the box?? thanks

POST 2Original post

I believe someone posted about the same thing not too long ago and Jake confirmed that the design was revised. I'd stand by for an expert to chime in though. - EDIT: I was mistaken, the post I remembered was referencing a different tensioner, see post below.

POST 3Original post

Looks very suspicious. The part number is for bank 1 but the part looks like it's for bank 2. The post Jake chimed in before was for the bank 2 tensioner. Just for reference, the photo of 99610518602 should look like this https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...r/99610518602/ The bank 2 99610518 8 02 should look like this https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...r/99610518802/ Your part looks like it's for bank 2??? Where did you buy that part? Also http://store.rndeuroparts.com/catalo...hain.Tensioner

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes that what i thought as well I get all my P car parts for Las Vegas Porsche dealer. http://www.gaudinporscheparts.com/ I noticed on Pelican diagram this was updated to the 02 but no pictures

I think you got the wrong part. Maybe the box got swapped. Here's mine from Sunset. Yours look the same as my bank 2 (not pictured).

POST 6Original post

I don't know if it's at all relevant but I do note that Ahsai's date code on his box is around 11 months older than the OP's so it can't rule out a changed part.

POST 7Original post

Mine (a new one) that I too ordered from Importech.com is like Ahsai's. So it must be a mismatched part from the place that sold it to you. I had that happen with a Mercedes part once. Send it back and get the proper one, perhaps include a picture so their parts department can double check prior to shipping it out to you.

POST 8Original post

That tensioner is indeed for bank 2, the bank 1 tensioner never has the internal hex, and always has rings on the body.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
