Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I don't have the Bose system but I installed the iSimple Tranzit Blu on my CDR-220 and love it.

If this works its a heck of a cheap solution to changing the head unit in a MOST car.

Easy, I messed up with the switch setting causing the whole system to reset itself every 3mins.

Not a huge fan of AUX quality after using a digital Bluetooth input on my amps.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am looking to swap out my radio surround with a new one. The previous owner unceremoniously slapped a "carbon fiber" cover over the surround and glued the s*** out of it. I pried this cover off today revealing the crime. I bought a new surround from the stealership that I now have in my hot little hands. I thought this would be a simple DIY, but as I pried off the surround the buttons came with it. I chickened out because I didn't want to cause any damage to the lock/unlock, PSM, etc. does anyone know of a YouTube vid that may be available before I have a shop spend 5 mins and charge me $100?
Also, the iSimple Transit Blu seems like it would solve all my problems and I could stream until my heart's content. I don't want to spend a ton of money ripping out the BOSE system in there. Does this thing really work? People on Amazon seem to really like it, but didn't know if it was too good to be true.
I'm in two minds about the isimple and a Dension fibre optic unit. Something tells me I just wouldnt be happy with the isimple and end up doing the Dension anyway...
@dan_189, grab the dension mate. It's great with iPhone 6 and below you can just plug it in to Dension's aux output. With iPhone 7 you'd need to get a generic bluetooth receiver for $10.
Thanks 318touring how was the install?
Also the Bluetooth adapter you mention is that just Bluetooth to aux or Bluetooth to ipod connection input?
Not a huge fan of AUX quality after using a digital Bluetooth input on my amps.
Search around if you haven't already, there are several places I found when doing mine (but can't put finger on at moment). Just undo the electrical connectors on the back of each switch and pull the whole thing off. I found the connectors to be fairly tight, but if wiggled a bit, come free. Each button will simply snap out of the surround, no screws or fasteners.
Easy, I messed up with the switch setting causing the whole system to reset itself every 3mins. The hardest bit was unplugging the power connector to the CD changer. Pull AUX and USB cables into the cabin, and you're done.
Bluetooth to AUX, ipod connector is too expensive. Here's a picture of it.
I got it yesterday and hope to test it tonight / tomorrow night.
Look how they spell Porsche lol. It looks correct in that the connector appears right etc... If this works its a heck of a cheap solution to changing the head unit in a MOST car.
Simple setup. Power, ground and ignition wire. Plug your RCA into this box and "hopefully" it feeds the amp. Fingers crossed!!!

I'm sitting on the edge of my seat. Can't wait to hear back if it works or not. This would be a huge leap for those that want to change out their Becker radio, but keep the amps. Hope it works. Let us know Jamie!
