Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Once connected, rotate back to the correct position and tighten the hose clamps.
Leading evidence: 'Tighten hose clamps' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Tighten hose clamps' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

While replacing the alternator I accidentally pulled the hard plastic vacuum line out of the rubber hose that feeds the intake resonance flap actuator. It's getting dark outside and I'm tired so I can't tell right now -- can anyone advise if the hard vacuum line can be plugged back into the flap actuator hose without taking all kinds of additional crap apart?
Since it is on the back side of the second plenum it will be very difficult to do. I would suggest trying to place a rectangular mirror under the plenum and see if you can see where it plugs in. You might have to remove the TB and first plenum in order to see underneath the second plenum. It's a tight fit back there so you may even consider dropping the engine down so you can reach over and under the plenum.

There is a short piece of flexible hose that attaches to the resonator flap. The issue will be how to find it, hold it and slide the hard line back in. Thus the suggestion of creating enough engine drop to go over and under the second plenum.
Thanks for the diagram, it is very helpful. I'll see if I can contort my hands under the plenum to get the line reconnected to the hose now that I know what I'm looking for.
Otherwise, more disassembly.
If you go in deep by removing the TB and first plenum, my suggestion would be to loosen the two inner clamps on the second plenum and then rotate it slightly downwards so you can see the hose connection. Once connected, rotate back to the correct position and tighten the hose clamps. PITA but it might be where you need to go.
TB already off as I attempted to peer in there last night. At work now but IIRC the only things in the top middle engine area are the starter and a few cables for the starter and alternator. So, I'm holding out hope I can somehow guide the line back into the hose without too much dikn around. We shall see.
Yeah, you will probably find the flexible hose hanging down a bit from the resonator flap and a quick connect of the two lines will take about 3 seconds. Good luck!
