Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

996.2 Carrera 4 cabrio I do not have the sports exhaust button on the dash but I do have the brown connector which is unplugged (by previous) owner and the solenoid valve with vacuum hoses present. I Do have the sport exhaust or not please?

POST 2Original post

Maybe someone installed it but didn't finish it up with the switch? The PSE defaults to "open/loud" so without anything connected it would improve the sound of the exhaust over stock.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yes thank you makes sense. How can I be sure it has the PSE?

POST 4Original post

I believe the wiring is there for PSE so the upgrade is plug and play, but I am not completely sure. Maybe search on Rennlist there's gotta be threads about installing PSE.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

it looks like the PSE comes with all these fittings. Mayne somebody else can help? can I check if it is a PSE from the back box? thank you.

Here's a thread from Renntech with tons of links to information on this conversion: https://www.renntech.org/forums/topi...s-and-lessons/ Interesting one of the links talks about how the PSE upgrade kit from Porsche comes with everything EXCEPT the dash switch. Again maybe someone started the upgrade on your car and then never finished it. You can see from the option codes on the sticker under your front trunk lid whether the car had factory PSE or not. The code listed would be IXLF.

Thank you. That is very helpful, I will check tomorrow.
