This is not a probability of success.

Of course I can always roll the fenders if I want but it really is just amazing how much thought went into these wheels and its awesome I dont have to use spacers to get the look that I want.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

23 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I know that some will say if you like it just do it but I just thought maybe I would ask the folks for some style advise on my car.. after all you do own a Porsche so you must have good taste 😉. My wheels are obviously a throwback but will the stone gards look like Im just trying to hard?

POST 2Original post

Clear maybe or C4S but narrow body not so much a fan. That said pimp your ride. Half the fun of owning a 996, well its a 996 and anything goes.

ya know I have always loved them on widebody cars but mixed feelings on narrowbody. The wheels just had me thinking. A c4s would look good wouldnt it!?

POST 4Original post

IkoIko911's car has them and they're cool on his guards red 4S. He says they're "Magnagrafik" but I stand firm on witchcraft.

POST 5Original post

Not a fan of anything but clear stonegaurds on any generation. Take a look at Singers...even they don't use them. With that being said, Ryan, your car with those wheels is just down right beautiful....Love how it is set up. Are those 18s?

POST 7Original post

I agree only on a widebody car, not needed on a narrow body C2.

I agree. Any more info on the wheels? Specs, size and where to get them? Very cool.

POST 10Original post

Also not a fan of the guards. Also love those wheels, and I generally do not care for that type of thing at all.

POST 11Original post

What about clear plastidip on the area right behind the wheels, front and rear? I might try that.

POST 12Original post

You could always try a non - nutritive cereal varnish . It's semi-permiable. It's not osmotic. What it does is it coats and seals the flake, prevents the milk from penetrating it. In the spirit of the holiday.... lol

How we have come to love plasty dip as a society😉 I always have a spare can of it around

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So those are 18 inch wheels from wheel dynamics. I also ordered the center caps in black Lugbolts from them as well. I had les Schwab in Beaverton Oregon throw the 285 Toyo T1 tires on the 10 wide rears. I know there can be lots of talking smack about reproduction wheels but I have to say these are very nice quality. They are roughly the same weight as my twist wheels. The amazing thing is how precisely they fit on my car as low as it is. 45 offset in the rear just barely fits on my early narrowbody car. Whoever made the wheel really did their due diligence. If you recall on the early 996 is they have a little less clearance on the rear fender then later models. I have about 2 mm of clearance but it does not rub. Of course I can always roll the fenders if I want but it really is just amazing how much thought went into these wheels and its awesome I dont have to use spacers to get the look that I want. Anyways thanks for your guya feedback on the car. Sure is fun to drive when it looks like that and wow the looks you get.

thanks! I added these stone gaurds more for looks than for lots of protection...... for me, having the black bumperetts in the back, looks great; those pops of black in the field of red..... same for the front end.... so my goal was to throw a little bit of black into the profile view....... and I dig it :-)

POST 17Original post

Here are mine. Hard to see but I had some made in flat black and I think they look great.

I use this stuff when I go to the track. I don't like the look of clear bras and the rocker guards but I do love the paint protection they offer. This isnt pretty when applied but I just peel it off when I get home from the track day https://www.canadacarcare.ca/product...otection-16-oz

that does look good! I like the flat black too!

POST 21Original post

I like them, even on NB cars. Especially on silver cars with Fuchs wheels
