Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

55 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Planning on some extended overseas travel. No more room for the 911 in my plans. Sold the car yesterday. Nice chatting with you. Be well and happy. John

POST 3Original post

Take pictures of 911s you see around the world & post em here. Then buy another when you get homesick & head back to NorCal. Best wishes on your travels. I'll hit 5 countries this year between work & personal travel - it's fun to get out there.

POST 5Original post

Enjoy the travels John. Don't be afraid to chime in here. If nothing else, you always make things interesting around here.

POST 6Original post

Have fun with the travels! Be sure and write Schnelly often.

POST 8Original post

John, Just one question before you leave... How many girlfriends did you go through before you finally got married?

POST 11Original post

No doubt we'll see you again with your next Porsche John.Enjoy your travels.

POST 12Original post

Hope if you come to the UK you can make it to the Ace Cafe on the London Porsche R20 region night or one of the Coffee meets at Smithfield Market.

My $5 to the person who most closely guesses the date he's back. My guess: 11/15/17 Another $5 to the person who most closely describes the car. My guess: rental fleet MKI 996 tip cab black/Arctic Silver/black. The final $5 to the person who most closely describes the celebrity connection with the new car. My guess: Rosie O'Donnell's custom-made cast-iron ersatz...um...member was found in the frunk when the car was traded in for a very used Subaru Legacy wagon... Rules: Responses must be good-natured teasing, and non-answers ("no," "none," "yo mama*") are not allowed. If Johnny Irish has not acquired a Porsche vehicle by 31 Dec. 2018, this contest will be null and void. No purchase required for participation. Void where prohibited by law. Any legal questions should be directed to KCAttorney...

Having sold off the last of his Rolexes (Roli?) for the last 996, he has no idea.

I believe he still has a wrist sundial purchased at the Rome location of serpico y laino. It was originally worn during timed laps at Circus Maximus.

POST 23Original post

Like someone is going to report him missing... "Area woman arraigned for murder after husband's decaying corpse located in the couple's Volkswagen. 'He just kept buying those motherf*****g cars. And ridiculous watches. What was I supposed to do?' To date, Ms. Ireland's GoFundMe campaign has generated more than $2 million toward her legal defense fund. Formula One driver Kimi Rikknen, a generous contributor to Ireland's campaign, publicly stated his support for Ms. Ireland's actions. 'If it hadn't been Ms. Ireland, that hot barista chick would definitely have put him down in the next week or two. It's better this way,' said Rikknen."

POST 25Original post

I should get into the fake news business. You know, like "I'm moving overseas for a while" or "I'm in the market for another 996..." We'll miss you, John. Can I get one last "blow me, a**hole?" before you depart?

POST 28Original post

I am overwhelmed by the underwhelming responses. I thought for sure this would be 6+ pages by now. I can't remember if Shnelly was the recipient of the Blow me A$$hole retort or I was. Either way, it made good theater. For a while...

POST 29Original post

Maybe...just maybe...he has really left the building.

POST 30Original post

Back story? Reading the replies was pretty damn funny and I have no idea of their relations.

POST 31Original post

Back story, in one paragraph: Old guy who thinks he's an awesome author buys 996, informs air-cooled guys that 996 is better than their underpowered lawnmowers, informs 997 crowd that tip 996 is better than fat, slow PDK 997. People line up to kick him in the baunch. Allegedly buys and sells a number of other cars, though the stupid VW is the one we actually saw photos of. Vacillates between "ignore the unwashed masses" and "triggered: prolly gonna call you an a**hole." Has an unresolvable dilemma: caviar tastes, Section 8 lifestyle*. *Section 8 of the Housing Act of 1937 (42 U.S.C. 1437f), often called Section 8, as repeatedly amended, authorizes the payment of rental housing assistance to private landlords on behalf of approximately 4.8 million low-income households, as of 2008, in the United States. The largest part of the section is the Housing Choice Voucher program which pays a large portion of the rents and utilities of about 2.1 million households. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development manages Section 8 programs.

POST 33Original post

Just to be fair: Schnell's backstory, in one paragraph: Fat bastard with a decent vocabulary and no other redeeming qualities stalks elderly 996 owners and surprises them by throwing buckets of fecal text into their otherwise tidy threads. Has an amazing wife who has inexplicably stuck around for 22+ years. Owns a "luxury" sports car and a "near-luxury-class" sports car; when considered together, they are worth slightly less than a full tank of gas, yet there's no chance they will ever be sold or traded. Dog's name is technically Finn, though RL renamed him Pee Pee Eye a year or so ago. Pee Pee Eye is an Australian Labradoodle, just like Top Gear Dog back when Top Gear was worth an eighth of a sh*t*. Owns a software company that manages to be successful despite this affiliation. Has an unnatural, unhealthy obsession with gigging Johnny Irish and that elderly Brit hiding out in PA... *Pee Pee Eye can play volleyball, knows "sidewalk" and about 30 other commands, and actually listens, and has a resale value of about $2K. So he is quite literally a more valuable asset than most of the cars I've had the misfortune of owning over the years. AND Johnny Irish's stupid VW.

Added a bit of accuracy for you. Hmmm... Maybe we should talk some day. What could possibly go wrong with the two of us working together

POST 35Original post

That's f**king hilarious. I've been on many forums, and as such have met people of all colors, much like himself. Had it not been for him, your backstory would not exist, and I wouldn't have spat out my water. Very well written, but now I'm upset he is departing and I've missed the fun.

POST 36Original post

See, that's the kicker - he'll be back in 5 weeks, allegedly with a "new" 996.

POST 38Original post

I am seriously kicking the idea around of some kind of rapid prototyping lab - a number of engineers I know are aware of the newer prototyping tools (additive 3D laser printing, CNC/milling, water jet/plasma cutters, etc. but don't have access to them or any expertise. I haven't started looking around to see how many of these already exist, though...what I don't want to do is start a machine shop version of yet another vape shop... If we can come up with a decent enough pitch, I bet we could rope 'Cuda into the mix.

Bill, We're the biggest, diverse bunch of cantankerous, obsessive, belligerent, finicky, compulsive, sarcastic, overcritical, unpredictable, (and now vulgar), numb-nuts on the planet. But we like to have fun and not get worked up about lovin' the "worst 911" that Porsche every made. ha! p.s. Did Kalash get banned for that X-rated story?

I've watched some of your threads a bit, and I can tell you're a good group of guys. Much like the people I associate with on the regular. Life is too short to get pent up on things like an inferior poor mans Porsche. My buddy has a GT4, calls me gay consistently, so I proved him wrong by getting a lowly C2 instead of a Boxster.

POST 43Original post

If he's calling you "gay" and you guys aren't in middle school, I'm kinda surprised he's not driving a kitted Corvette or a Viper (complete with plastic dangling *******) with the wind blowing in his lush mullet. (There's probably a Playgirl under the seat...) If you really want to crush his ego, find a track-prepped 986 to lap him with.

There's a group chat with himself (CA dude), other buddy with track prepped E46 (WA dude), and myself (all over the east). Our chats consist of starting the day with chick pics, then goes to berating each other, convincing we need to buy ammunition and firearms, vehicle purchases, etc. For Christmas he got a Hustler (I taped it to the front) of a firearm magazine, and stuffed some condoms between them so he wouldn't procreate. I do however think he is getting rid of the GT4 and allocating a new GT3. That bastard. Still waiting for him to die so I can obtain all my things from the will.....
