I'll just pull it off and see if I can use spray trim adhesive to glue it back down.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How do I take this interior piece off? (red box) I need to repair the corners. And, anyone know why the corner is coming off? Same on the other side.

POST 3Original post

Just pull it. It’s got something like 8 clips holding it on. You can verify with a parts diagram. No idea about the curling.

POST 4Original post

Unless a prior owner tried to pry it off on both sides, it seems like the curling would have to be from heat. I'm assuming this is the rear seating area (looking at pic with iPhone) - maybe a modified exhaust that doesn't have enough heat shielding? Is that area hot when the car has been running for a long time?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 16060665

The car is a Texas car and when I bought it a year ago it had no window tint. It wasn't driven that much so it may have been sitting in the sun. I looked for evidence of water damage near it, none noticed. I'll just pull it off and see if I can use spray trim adhesive to glue it back down.

POST 6Original post

Quotes source post: 16060880

I was thinking more of heat radiating from the engine, maybe due to a missing heat shield or some modification, rather than heat from the sun. I haven't looked at where this is relative to the engine, but radiated heat from the engine would seem to be the only thing that makes sense because most interior panels can handle sun/heat very well.
