Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Install v1' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Install v1' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a 2002 C2 Cab and am trying to identify the part indicated by the arrow in this picture. There are two of these, one on the drivers side and one on the passengers, directly above the rear seat. While out for a drive today, the drivers side cover blew off. Im trying to identify the part and find out where I can buy one. Any help is appreciated.
Those covers are for the emergency roll over protection that pop up but unfortunately, you have to purchase the entire cover -

Make sure you order the right color too. They're expensive at around $500. You might try to search ebay or dismantlers. Good luck.
I was afraid the reason I wasnt seeing these individually is because they made you get the whole assembly. Im possibly going to a salvager tomorrow that probably has some, so Ill try my luck there.
"Crazy, and they probably don't come with the little plastic disks that are like $50 each."
Silly how much those disks cost. I might buy a 3D printer just to make them myself.
If you have no luck at the salvage place I may have one - like you I had one blow off, but my whole roll bar cover is oddly broken underneath the black material. No idea what would cause that but I need to source the whole thing too. Hopefully this complete cover is not a big deal to swap out. Will let you know if I find a good complete cover - right now my budget will not allow for a new one, but these seem to hold up well on every cabrio that I have seen, except for mine (of course!).

After looking around the internet for a few minutes, I see that my local Porsche dealer has the complete assembly for $426. If they have a PCA discount I may end up going that route. Parts Society wants $450 but I can't tell if it is new or used. Will try some of the other online used parts places.
My memory isn't great but it's not difficult to remove. I had mine out to update my stealth installed V1. Pull down the carpeted cover behind the rear seats. Mine has two screws holding it on as well but I don't know if that's standard or because of my V1 install. Once the cover is removed, you'll see two screws for the cover that need to be removed. Put the convertible top in service position, pull down the carpeting, and remove the other screws holding down the cover. The whole piece lifts off.
Wound up finding one at a salvage place today that specializes in Porsche parts. Paid $30 for the cover and was happy to do that vs $400+ on the entire assembly.
Just received my roll bar cover from DC Auto. Paid $200 plus $15 shipping. Piece looks brand new. Will get this installed this weekend. Now I have spare little round covers! Hopefully it goes on easily - found an old thread in the 997 forum that shows the process step by step with pictures, just as Bill described.
