I recently changed out my back driver's side tire and noticed that my CV boot is cracked. When I looked at Pelican Parts I see the assembly on there but the Porsche part is over $1k for the assembly. Has anyone used a Non-Porsche CV shaft assembly and if so, are they OK to use? They're 1/2 the cost of the Porsche assembly. My 1999 996 now has 153,000 miles on it and is running strong. I'd like to keep it that way if possible, but would prefer the cheaper route if advisable. Thanks in advance for any advice!!!
